CNN has not tried to track me down for making silly remarks yesterday, saying that they would be covering something so obviously below their journalistic integrity. well done, CNN. you sure showed me.

I continue to break every etiquette rule that Emily Post has set before humanity. However, without people like me how would she have such a lucrative business? People like myself give others reasons to shudder in fear and then skip off to the bookstore to grap a copy of "How Not To Fanny About With Your Silverware" or whatever it is that keeps her in money.

Now on to business. Let's learn more about Texas. In Texas they like to have things labeled so that you know that you are in Texas. McDonald's has a Homestyle Texas burger. The Dairy Queen folks are proudly sponsoring the Don't Mess With Texas litter campaign while having no problems with their DQ logo being "The Texas Stop Sign"



The beer cans and bottles get into the state pride business. If you turn your head to the side you can see the star and the shape of the lone star state.(I did find one batch of personalized cans for the Windy City, too. Turns out that this was a special time and not a rule of thumb)

This state is in love with itself and what's not to like about a state with good self-esteem?
