Can We Do It?!

It sure looks like it!

Things are going well here in Texas. We are on day three, if you can believe it. (you probably can, can't you? well, that's nice.)

Today's lesson on Texan lingo involves terminology I learned while driving here.

The first involves The Texas Turnaround

This is a planned u-turn that occurs to keep one from getting back on the freeway and driving until the next exit to turn around. If you click on the Texas Turnaround link it will describe it in detail - and lots of it.

Next is the feeder road. These are the roads pictured above that run on either side of the freeway - they feed the Texas Turnarounds. You can drive alongside the freeway for a long time on these and they all are one ways.

This may be why it took me an hour to get to the Hilton. I could see the darn thing but actually finding a way to get near it was time-consuming and full of expletives...
