Back from Bismarck and back to work.

My time at home involved a lot of napping and reading Harry Potter books. My sister had the books and little else that needed reading. Now I'm hooked. The nice thing about this is that I have about five books to read. I don't have the pain of waiting for a sequel because the sequels are already in print.

As for the food, let me just give you a quick rundown. Food is a pretty big deal in my family. In fact the family motto is:

I don't know how this motto came to be but it's the honest truth. My sister is a chef, to boot.

This year we had our Thanksgiving feast at Prairie Knights Casino. This may sound a little strange but my sister works there and since everything is made from scratch the food was amazing. Much better than the tension that goes with serving a big family meal and then cleaning up after it. Also, we got to gamble $2 in quarters. We left full as could be and $4 ahead.

The other nights were just for relaxing. We ate homemade French bread pizza. Then we had grilled cheese and tomato soup another night. It was hard to come back to ramen and cereal as my options.

Thanks for Jon for my ride home. I can put that in here because he may be one of the very few who read this site. Aren't you, Jon? He drove both ways and managed to listen to me talk through most of it. Well done!

I'll say this though, it's good to be back where I don't get stared at for having a multi-color scarf or for wearing pigtails to Walmart.
